A  ViewSonic monitor 1912w - a 19'' multimedia ViewSonic monitor - sound  stopped responding. After checking the computer speakers which was not muted and after testing on an external speakers. This proved that there is a problem with the monitor audio system.

One of the weird things when playing a game and pressing ALT+TAB buttons sound appears for a moment and then dissappears.

After turning off the monitor for a long while a day for example and when turning it on the sound started to appear again. The sound dissappears again after a while.

It's time now to see where is the problem.

After disassembling the monitor using the disassembly guide.

You will have to check the capacitors on the monitor's power board.

You will find that there are a set of 4 capacitors.

In the picture below you will find 4 arrows pointing to the broken capacitors.

As you can see there are 4 damaged capacitors, after replacing by de-soldering and soldering the new capacitors.

They're 4 capacitors as follow :

2 x 1000 uF -  25 Volts Capacitors

2 x 220 uF -  25 Volts Capacitors

The sound will come back to your monitor.
