Have you evered tried to write a french text on an non-french keyboard with a non-French language installed OS ? or even German language too have you tried to do this ?

 

In the following topic you will learn how to write french special characters on a non-french keyboard.

 

 

To write the special characters.
(Such as the French special characters : é, è and ç for example)

We will learn in this demo how to do this using keyboard as well as Microsoft Office Menus.

é : Hold down the Alt key and keep holding then press  1, 3 then 0 on the numeric pad and release the Alt key.
è : Hold down the Alt key and keep holding then press  1, 3 then 8 on the numeric pad and release the Alt key.
ç : Hold down the Alt key and keep holding then press  1, 3 then 5 on the numeric pad and release the Alt key.

The table below will show you each letter with the relative combination.

Same applies to other languages special characters. Those codes are called the ASCII codes you may search for the ascii codes for the desired letter and just hold the Alt key and keep holding then press the convenient code and you will have it done.
